International Truck Introduces More Powerful Electronics, Enhanced Diamond Logic Features →

International Truck has announced a new body control module in conjunction with enhanced Diamond Logic features. The new body control module, designed in line with Society of Automotive Engineer (SAE) 500k baud standards, will expand customer and truck equipment manufacturer electronics capabilities, driving more uptime. The new design will deliver six times the current processing speed for truck and body electronics, add 16 more input/output slots for equipment manufacturers, and provide three additional data links to expand truck capabilities, and will be built in production starting in November 2015.  Click for more...


AmeriPride Advances Alternative Fuels Program with 20 New Propane Trucks →

AmeriPride Services is expanding its program to include additional propane autogas fueled trucks. In addition to the five ROUSH CleanTech Ford F-59 delivery trucks in Topeka, the uniform and linen company is adding 20 more in Northern California later this year. The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators has announced it has been awarded accreditation by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for its CCO Lift Director and CCO Service Truck Crane Operator programs. This brings to 11 the number of CCO certifications that ANSI has accredited. WSDOT Creates Tool to Help Truckers Avoid Low Bridges →

SEATTLE (AP) Hoping to avoid a repeat of the 2013 Skagit River Bridge collapse, state transportation officials have created a new online tool to help truckers plan their routes and avoid collisions. A section of that bridge on Interstate 5 fell into the Skagit River on May, 23, 2013, after a truck carrying a tall load hit the bridge in Mount Vernon, about 60 miles north of Seattle. The $37 million price tag, which covers construction and medical equipment costs, includes the renovation of another 11,500 sq. ft.
