Space is at a premium at the Nucor scrap yard located next to the mill in Birmingham, Ala. The facility moves about 4,000 tons per day, in total, to feed the nearby melt shop. "It's pretty intense," according to Amy Alford, scrap yard supervisor and Brandon Keller, scrap yard lead. "It's 24/7. We can't afford to have downtime." Terex Corporation announced fourth quarter 2019 net sales of $885.0 million, down 15.6 percent versus the fourth quarter of 2018. Terex MP reported sales of $321.4 million, down 10.2 percent versus Q4 2018 driven by cautious customer sentiment. However, MP closed out the year, with another solid quarter, achieving 12 percent operating margins, despite challenging markets.
