Purchasers of certain Kenworth medium duty diesel-electric hybrid trucks in the United States are eligible for a tax credit of up to $12,000, under a qualified hybrid motor vehicle credit available from the federal government. (AP) Truckers told state lawmakers on March 13 that a proposal to raise New Hampshire’s gas and diesel tax 15 cents will badly hurt their industry, while paving contractors said the hike was needed to fund critical road and bridge repairs.
