Whayne Supply Company unveiled the new Cat CT660 vocational truck in a delivery and presentation of keys to Jim Smith Contracting. With the presentation, Jim Smith Contracting became the first business in Kentucky to take delivery of the Cat CT660.

The truck was delivered by Frank Lewis, vice president of power systems of Whayne Supply Company and presented at the company’s branch in Paducah, Ky. Jim Smith Contracting owner Rex Smith was present to accept the truck.

“The CT660 is a revolutionary truck and we are very excited about the delivery to Jim Smith Contracting,” said Lewis. “This truck is built for versatility and the first of its kind in this region. I expect to see a lot of them on the road throughout Kentucky in the future.”

The CT660 debuted in the spring of 2011 and Jim Smith Contracting, located in Grand Rivers, Ky, was the first in the Commonwealth to order one for the company’s operation that specializes in highway construction, asphalt paving and grade and drain work.

Built for a wide array of applications, the CT660 is loaded with features, options and horsepower/torque to handle the toughest jobs, according to the manufacturer.

The CT660 is designed for day cab vocational applications such as construction and dump trucks, fuel haulers and regional transportation.

The Cat CT660 Vocational Truck is now available for purchase at Whayne Supply Company branches throughout Kentucky.
