Proper maintenance of a truck’s air conditioning system can help prevent costly repairs and keep drivers comfortable and cool during the hot temperatures of summer.

Kenworth PremierCare Express Air Conditioning Services are available at participating Kenworth dealers and provide a range of services from a basic inspection to a premium 27-point inspection. Air-conditioning service includes a complete air-conditioning system evacuation and recharge, receiver dryer replacement, compressor oil top-off, and up to 5 pounds of refrigerant.

During the premium inspection, trained Kenworth dealer service technicians check the belts and hoses, air-conditioning airflow and controls, discharge and suction lines, electrical connections, compressor, evaporator/heater coil, and condenser coil, among other items.

“Kenworth PremierCare Express Air Conditioning Service only takes about an hour to prepare all makes of trucks for hot weather,” said Dick Von Lehman, Kenworth PremierCare national sales manager for service.

“Customers appreciate the fast Kenworth dealer service and the peace of mind they receive from helping to ensure that their air-conditioning system will operate effectively when most needed to fight against the heat.”

The Kenworth PremierCare Program also offers preventive maintenance, ExpressLube and emergency roadside service. In addition, the Kenworth PremierCare Customer Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The service requires no registration fee for emergency roadside assistance and is available to any truck brand.
